What the Idea Network Means to ME

We are so grateful for the members of our amazing Idea Network team. We want to hear from them! This is what the Idea Network means to each one personally.

Kylie: To me the Idea Network means two things, both important, yet very different.

First, the Idea Network means community.

In ministry it can be very difficult to find friends and connect with like-minded people; Idea Network has provided a space that is inviting and welcoming to community building among ministry leaders.

Second, Idea Network means a source of hope to me.

I say “hope” because we don’t have to be stuck. Whether that means stuck in a rut or stuck in tradition, Idea Network shows me that we can move forward, progress, innovate to promote the age-old Gospel and Kingdom work to a modern world.

Josh: It started as a place to find ideas. It became a place to find friends.

Lysandra: I appreciate the Idea Network because it took my husband and I off of the island on which we were ministering and gave us a community of ministry leaders to serve alongside.

Idea Network is so special and unique because it connects ministry leaders from all over the world and facilitates them in encouraging and investing in one another.

We as a group, have the opportunity and privilege to enrich the lives and ministries of other followers of Jesus all over the world because of the Idea Network.

Dan: I love the Idea Network, from the early Idea Day events through today.

The Network has provided me a place to build friendships, partnerships, and relationships with Kingdom building co-laborers that are truly in my corner and cheering me on.

Today, I get to serve as the Network’s Financial Assistant. I am truly humbled by the opportunity that I get to be a part of the team and serve the network in this way.

Courtney: I appreciate the network because it is a place where ministry leaders can come together and brainstorm, share ideas, and grow together. It is amazing being a part of the backend of the Network that makes it all function.

Akeem: The Idea Network is a place I’ve found real friendships. Because of the growth of Idea Network, I can now serve alongside those friends by helping resource ministry leaders to grow and lead in their local churches.

Jason: It would be easy to see competition being an issue in a group of pastors and ministry leaders.

In the Idea Network, we share connection, community, and communication for the purpose of complementing our ministries instead of competing.

I like to think of the Idea Network as a collection of leaders who are likeminded and striving together to see the Gospel go forward in our individual communities.

Caleb: The Idea Network means two very specific things to me.

The first would be Support.

As I grow in my faith and spiritual walk with God, I’ve had to question my beliefs in a way that has helped me make my faith my own. In this process, the Idea Network community has shown grace and understanding. There is no judgement or condemnation to me for my questions and I have felt a sense of support and safety in the Idea Network Family as I grow my identity in Jesus.

The second thing would be Unity.

God has given specific gifts and abilities to his people. The Idea Network provides a collaborative environment where we can work together as gospel focused Jesus followers to use our gifts and abilities to do great things in the kingdom of God. This is what the Idea Network means to me.

Jeremy: The Idea Network is important to me because of the valuable relationships I have developed. Ministry leaders need a place where they can be transparent, ask questions, and work through their thoughts and not feel judged. The Idea Network is that place.

Corey: To me, the Idea Network is more than just a place to share ministry and leadership ideas...although I’ve picked up quite a few great ideas here! Idea Network is a connecting point for ministry leaders to make new friends and encourage one another as we serve Jesus together. I know I’ve been blessed by so many people I’ve met here, and it is my desire to help as many ministry leaders as I can.

We love the Network and hope you do too!

One Big Idea: Get more involved and meet your local ministry leaders by attending the next Idea Network event - Idea Night on August 23rd.
